Rick Wemple

Rick Wemple, MA, NASM-CPT

Rick Wemple is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in addition to having earned a Master’s in Exercise Science from Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Yale University.

He competed in cross country and track & field in college and earned All-American honors in cross country in 1991.

Rick spent 17 years coaching cross country and track & field at the college level and has worked as a personal trainer since 2005.

To date, Wemple has worked with young to middle-age adults looking to get stronger and/or lose weight; helped high school and college soccer and lacrosse players improve their endurance conditioning; trained a 70-year old woman for competition in the discus, shot put and javelin for the 2007 Senior Games competition; and has helped a 79-year old woman regain daily functional capacity after a stroke.

Rick also has worked with runners looking to complete marathons or improve on already established times in road races. His coaching and training philosophy is to approach each client as an individual when designing training programs. Each person has different needs and interests in fitness and he works with each client to personalize their fitness plans.

Rick sees clients at our Lakeview location.
