Weena Dee, PT, DPT, earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University near Philadelphia in 2009.
Weena’s clinical interests include movement analysis, gait mechanics, functional electrical stimulation to enhance gait mechanics and improving functional independence. Weena enjoys analyzing running mechanics and treating running injuries as well as lower extremity injuries and overuse syndromes.
Weena is a credentialed clinical instructor for physical therapists in training. She participates in clinical research with patients post stroke and spinal cord injury, providing pelvis and leg perturbations to improve gait mechanics at the Rehab Institute of Chicago. Weena also has worked with robotics and eskoskeletons, and is Lokomat, Bioness, and ekso Level I certified.
In her free time, Weena enjoys traveling to the mountains, hiking at elevation, running half marathons, and cooking Thai food.
