Post Cancer Care in Chicago Loop & LakeviewPost Breast Cancer Care in Chicago Loop, Lakeview, and Glenview

Is every movement an unwanted reminder of your battle with cancer?

Limited range of motion, pain, burning, numbness and swelling (lymphedema), can be common after surgery and some cancer treatments. In addition, many patients experience cancer-related cognitive limitations, decreased coordination and fine motor control and cancer related fatigue. The Post Cancer Program at PhysioPartners is designed to restore mobility and prevent long-term disability.

Physical and occupational therapy interventions, such as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, nerve mobilization, manual lymphatic draining, and breathing retraining are very effective in addressing limitations and returning you to full, pain-free movement.

Post breast cancer physical therapy care is eligible for coverage under insurance with your physician's referral.

A review of common complications following mastectomy, axillary node dissection, chemotherapy, and radiation for breast cancer and the recent medical literature assisting in the early identification of patients who may benefit from physical therapist consultation.
