Gabrielle (Gabi) Zifkin-Swett, PT, DPT is the new Managing Partner of PhysioPartners. She earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Governors State University in 2013. She is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and has taken dry needling courses through Myopain Seminars. She is trained in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) through BStrong. Prior to her career at PhysioPartners, she had 9 years of experience managing a team at an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic downtown Chicago.
Gabi likes treating patients with general orthopedic conditions with a wide variety of diagnoses from neck and back pain for no apparent reason to sports injuries. She particularly likes to try and determine if some tricky, but common, diagnoses of extremity pain that do not respond to traditional treatment have an underlying spinal source.
Outside of the clinic, Gabi has run a few half marathons and completed a few sprint triathlons. She grew up doing gymnastics and may occasionally still try and pull out a back flip. Nothing makes her happier than making memories with her young children and husband.
