Katherine Matias-Riggs, PT, MPT, CMTPT, CFMM, received her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 1995. Her clinical experience includes working in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, including osteopathic evaluative methodology, manual treatment, and exercise prescription. Katherine utilizes cranial osteopathy to treat patients from infants to adults with concussions, plagiocephaly, headaches, traumatic brain injury, TMJ disorders, and spinal dysfunction of the neck and back.
She has trained with Professors Emeriti Fred Mitchell, Jr., DO, and Philip Greenman, DO, in Functional Manual Medicine (CFFMM) and earned her Certification in Functional Manual Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) in Dry Needling Therapy through Myopain Seminars.
Outside of patient care, Katherine enjoys family time, outings with friends, walking her dog, dancing ballet, cooking, and reading.
